Goal of AVILUS is applied user-oriented research, development and testing of future technologies in a context of Virtual and Augmented Reality for branches in the German core industries.
Focus is cross-stage information management to support the creation, processing and usage of digital information during the entire life-cycle of a product or means of production from the beginning, in the usage and up to the waste disposal.
Under the lead of the industry, a powerful consortium of small and medium-sized businesses (SMB), large scale industry and research institutes (universities and institutes of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft) the industry-driven research ensures the production deployment of the results also in the long-term.
It is also a goal to extend the respectable patent portfolio of the participating companies in the field of virtual technologies and information management especially for the internal international competition in order to safeguard a world-wide commercialization.
