ZEISS and KIT Robotics Innovation Competition
On June 16th and 17th, the ZEISS and KIT Robotics Innovation Competition took place in Karlsruhe. The event was split into two parallel events – the scientist and students track and the start-up track. Start-up companies presented their ideas and projects to a jury of scientific and industrial representatives. The winner was awarded 25000 Euro for collaborative project.
Students and researchers of the science challenge were given a task to be solved within the two days.
This included using a Panda robot from Franka Emika, a vision system for detecting and grasping objects using ROS.
The price of 3000 Euro was split between the three winning teams.
