New Class in the Winter Term /17/18: “Industry 4.0”
Computer science students are invited to attend the new class, “Industry 4.0”, by Professor Torsten Kroeger. The class will be held in the seminar room of Building 40.28 and will start in the Winter Term of 2017/18 on October 20.
The new class will cover foundations for software concepts of “Industry 4.0” and “Internet of Things”, middleware solutions (DDS, OPC UA), machine learning, data analytics, condition monitoring, user interfaces, and human-centered developments. Use cases and examples from the domains of autonomous robots, distributed machine control, automated warehouses, industrial process optimization, home automation, personal assistants, and personal robots will allow insights in transitioning from theoretical concepts to physical applications.
