IPR participates in the IARP Workshop in Heidelberg
From January, 26 to January, 28 the first international workshop on Cognitive Robotics in Surgery of the International Advanced Robotics Programme took place in Heidelberg and Karlsruhe.
Speakers from Europe, the US, Korea and Japan reported on research programmes and the visions regarding research in the field of robotic.
More than 90 international guests visited the Workshop. Prof. Wörn, Prof. Büchler and Prof. Dillmann opened the Sessions on present research results and further challenges in the field of cognitive medical robotics. On January, 26, after the reports, a dinner took place in the historical castle of Schwetzingen. On January, 27 the Workshop-Programme in Heidelberg ended with a session; the participants discussed with much enthusiasm. On January 28, the workshop participants visited the laboratories of Prof. Dillmann and Prof. Wörn in Karlsruhe.
There were interesting discussions and the feedback of the guests was extremely positive.
