Two Awards at IROS 2022

Our Paper “SpeedFolding: Learning Efficient Bimanual Folding of Garments” has won both the Best Paper and the Best RoboCup Paper Award at IROS 2022 in Kyoto!

In this work, Lars Berscheid and Yahav Avigal (from UC Berkeley) developed a robot that can learn to smooth and fold garments by trial and error. After dozens of hours of real-world training, the robot was able to fold t-shirts in under 2 minutes on average.
